The brand aims to create clothing for artists active in various industries, including art, fashion, and music, and to create items that reflect their creativity and are supported by artists. The brand will be directed by Katsutoshi Nishimoto, who has a strong preference for plain items, and will offer a lineup of carefully selected items.
COMMON BASE was launched in 2019 with the aim of supporting artists, and has collaborated with various artists, including NISHIMOTO IS THE MOUTH, to produce and sell works and merchandise, as well as IP collaborations. In the midst of all this, we felt the need for a body that matches the demand and price of artists with special tastes, and so we have been preparing this plain item initiative. We aim to create items that are supported by artists, both as everyday wear and as a body for their creations.
