本展は、前田麦の代表作であるEYE OF FIREのフィギュアを中心に構成されます。

「EYE OF FIRE」は、コロナ禍の2020年7月15日にインスタグラムでその原型が発表されたオリジナルキャラクターです。
燃えるイエローの目玉と、獣のような顔を持つ、ブルーのボディの魔界から地上にやってきたPOPな悪魔という基本形が
あり、常に自由にその様を変えていくのもこのキャラクターの特徴の一つ。インスタグラムでの発信を機にアメリカを中心に話題を呼び、当時も今も、「目が燃えている何者かに」魅了されている状況が数年続いています。

このEYE OF FIRE Figureは、悪魔のキャラクターを軸としながらも、あらゆる対象をEOF化していくアートフィギュアプロジェクトとなります。「EYE OF FIRE」の基本形は、前述の通りブルーのボディの悪魔ですが、その燃える目は、様々に色を変えながら、怪物、動物、人、物、神に憑依し、全てが「EYE OF FIRE」と呼べるキャラクターとなっていきます。
今後、様々なIPとのコラボレーションも予定しておりますのでどうぞご期待下さい。
制作 / 販売は、アーティストサポートを目的に掲げ、様々なフィギュア制作やアートコラボレーションを行うCOMMON BASEが担います。

会場ではフィギュアと合わせてEYE OF FIREの原画作品、ジークレー作品等も複数展示販売致します。

前田麦 (Baku Maeda)：
1974年生まれ。札幌出身・在住。イラストレーションをベースとして、平面、立体を問わず様々なアプローチで作品を製作。

COMMON BASE(コモンベース) :
アーティストサポートを目的したプロジェクト。これまでにNISHIMOTO IS THE MOUTH、河村康輔、COIN PARKING DELIVERY、Oliver Payne、Goccodo、Kousuke Shimizu等、様々なアーティストとの共同制作やSESAME STREETやジャングル大帝等のIPとのアートコラボレーションを手掛ける。2022年にはCOMMON BASE GALLERYがオープンし、展示場所の機能も持つ。

Baku Maeda's Solo Exhibition "EYE OF FIRE Figure" at COMMON BASE GALLERY

This exhibition will consist mainly of Mugi Maeda's representative works, EYE OF FIRE figures.
EYE OF FIRE is an original character whose prototype was unveiled on July 15, 2020 on Instagram During COVID-19.
It has the basic form of a POP demon that came to earth from the demon world with fiery yellow eyeballs, a beastly face, and a blue body, and one of the characteristics of this character is that it is always free to change its appearance.

The character became a hot topic in the U.S. and other countries after its transmission on Instagram, and the situation of being fascinated by "something with burning eyes" has continued for several years, both then and now.

This EYE OF FIRE Figure will be an art figure project that will be based on the demon character, but will also transform any object into an EOF. The basic form of "EYE OF FIRE" is, as mentioned above, a blue-bodied demon, but its burning eyes, changing colors in various ways, possess monsters, animals, people, objects, and gods, all becoming characters that can be called "EYE OF FIRE".
We are planning to collaborate with various IPs in the future, so please look forward to it.
Production and sales will be handled by COMMON BASE, that aims to support artists.

In addition to the figures, original paintings and giclee works of EYE OF FIRE will also be exhibited and sold at the exhibition.
