faceとSesame Streetのアートコラボレーション。faceの解釈によるバートとアーニーのフィギュアが発売。

 1970年代から日本でも放映されていたTV番組「セサミストリート」は、日本の他の番組とはどこか異なり、子供ながらに異国を感じられる機会でした。TV画面の中で二人仲良く写っていたバートとアーニーは、faceにとってのセサミストリートとして記憶に刻まれることになります。

今作はfaceのアイコニックな顔表現が施されたバートとアーニーが、二人の仲の良さを表すかのように同じポーズをとっています。これは当時faceが感じた記憶という”過去”と、アーティストとして主となる表現手法を見出した”現在”が融合された作品となっております。

作品は、オンラインでの抽選販売となり、COMMON BASE GALLERY(渋谷/神宮前)にて展示を行わせて頂きます。

Sesame Street(セサミストリート):

Art collaboration between face and Sesame Street. Bert and Ernie figurines interpreted by face will be released.

The TV program "Sesame Street," which has been broadcasted in Japan since the 1970s, was somehow different from other Japanese programs, offering an opportunity to feel a foreign country even as a child. Bert and Ernie, who appeared as close friends on the TV screen, would become memorable representations of Sesame Street especially for “face.”

In this work, Bert and Ernie with face's iconic facial expressions are posed in the same pose as if to express their close friendship.

This work is a fusion of the “past," the memories that face felt at the time, and the "present," where he has found his main method of expression as an artist.

face is an artist born in Tokyo with a Taiwanese father and Japanese mother.
She has been working globally for both domestic and international clients, mainly for apparel, advertisements, and magazines,She has been creating works as a full-fledged artist since her solo exhibition at Gallery Target in 2021.
